Donna Kemp, LPC, NCC, ACS

Welcome!

My name is Donna Kemp, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), National Board Certified Counselor (NBCC), and Approved Clinical Supervisor. As a therapist, I bring a thoughtful blend of clinical experience, professional training, compassion, and energy to the counseling process. My approach is client-centered and individualized, grounded in empathy, respect, and genuine care. I do not judge or criticize; I believe we are all imperfectly perfect, just as God created us.

While I strive to be warm and supportive, I am also realistic, honest, and direct when appropriate, helping clients clarify goals and move toward meaningful change. My intention is for every client to feel that the therapeutic space we share is welcoming, safe, and respectful. I primarily work from a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) framework and also integrate Solution-Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Narrative Therapy. I place strong emphasis on identifying client strengths and building upon them to address emotional, behavioral, and relational concerns.

On a more personal note, I come from a military background and was raised in South Carolina. Outside of my professional work, I enjoy spending time with loved ones, being near bodies of water, eating seafood, exercising, cooking, and listening to a wide variety of music. I value self-care and relaxation and often practice stretching, meditation, yoga, and reading. I am also passionate about giving back and periodically serve as a mentor and volunteer with youth in my community.

Professionally, I bring over 13 years of experience working with children, adults, couples, and families across a range of mental and behavioral health concerns, including substance abuse and addiction. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Charleston Southern University and my Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Georgia Southern University. My background includes work as both a therapist and Clinical Director, providing care in outpatient and inpatient settings. I also maintain active membership with the Licensed Professional Counselor’s Association of Georgia.

I look forward to working with you—supporting you in reaching your goals, encouraging your growth, and walking alongside you throughout your healing journey.

Hello!

My name is Tywana Dulan, and many people call me Ty—a nickname I welcome clients to use as well. I bring several years of experience from the corporate world, public service, and the mental health field, each of which has strengthened my ability to adapt, work effectively under pressure, and remain grounded in complex situations. These experiences have shaped my deep commitment and tenacity toward living out my purpose: helping others grow, heal, and move forward, a dedication that naturally translates into my work with clients.

I have extensive experience working with individuals, couples, families, and children who are seeking greater happiness, emotional balance, and fulfillment in their lives. A little more about me...I am a foodie who loves to cook, and I truly enjoy traveling and experiencing different cultures. Music is a big part of my life, and my playlists reflect a wide and diverse rotation. Yes, I am absolutely the person dancing in the car at a stoplight when the song is too good not to enjoy. I’m also into sports and a self-proclaimed movie fanatic, with a love for everything from psychological thrillers and Marvel films to action movies and comedies. I believe in smiling, laughing, and appreciating the little things life gives us enough to navigate, so joy matters.

La Tonya Dunn Davis, LMFT

Hi there, and welcome!

My name is La Tonya Dunn Davis, and it is a pleasure to have you here. One of my greatest joys as a therapist is walking alongside clients without judgment—gently illuminating certain patterns, compassionately challenging others, and smiling in awe when new awareness emerges around the things that have kept you feeling stuck. I believe that you already possess what you need to live the life you desire; sometimes those inner resources have been forgotten, buried, or not yet fully accessed. I do not claim to have all the answers. Instead, my role is to partner with you, facilitating your internal work so you can discover and reclaim the wisdom, strengths, and abilities that already exist within you.

I began my career in the human services field over 20 years ago, providing direct care to youth and families. After taking a scenic route to explore additional skill sets, I returned to complete graduate training and obtained licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). I bring more than a decade of clinical experience working in diverse settings with individuals, couples, and families, addressing a wide range of mental, emotional, behavioral, and relational concerns. I currently work with adults (ages 18+), and I feel most helpful to those navigating life transitions, adjustment challenges, work-related stress, relationship communication difficulties, childhood trauma histories, self-worth concerns, anger, depression, and anxiety.

My therapeutic approach is integrative and relational, thoughtfully weaving together elements from several evidence-based and relational models. These may include Internal Family Systems (IFS), Brief Relational Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Collaborative Therapy, and spiritually integrated counseling. I draw upon my clinical intuition and therapeutic imagination to tailor each session to the unique needs of the client sitting in front of me.

Outside of the therapy room, I find restoration in simple, grounding moments—especially walking in nature, preferably near woods or water. I enjoy classic and feel-good television shows from my childhood and earlier eras as a way to decompress, and music plays a similar role in my life. I love soulful “oldies but goldies,” along with other genres depending on my mood. I also enjoy creative, sentimental writing. At heart, I am a homebody who cherishes time with family and loved ones, and I feel especially grateful to be married to my amazing husband, who continuously creates an environment where I feel cherished and nourished. I consider myself a simple country girl who deeply values life’s small joys and—much like you—strives each day to grow, learn, and find balance.

Choosing to reach out for therapy is a significant and courageous decision. The vulnerability involved in stepping into what may feel like an unfamiliar process is not lost on me. I deeply honor the privilege of working in the most sensitive areas of clients’ lives and admire the courage it takes to face challenges that have disrupted relationships, impacted self-worth, and diminished overall quality of life. Regardless of the therapeutic models we use, my approach is consistently non-pathologizing, affirming, empathetic, and compassionate. My goal in every session is to create a safe and supportive space where you can do the work necessary to live into the best version of yourself.

So, what do you say—are you ready to take a step? Click the button below to schedule a free 15-minute consultation to see if we might be a good fit. I would love the opportunity to explore how I may be of service to you.

Be encouraged.

Luciana Heard, MA,MFT

“There is a crack in everything—that’s how the light gets in.” – Leonard Cohen

Hello and Welcome,

My name is Luciana Renee Heard—and please feel free to call me Lu. I am a Marriage and Family Therapist in Georgia who works with individuals, couples, families, and groups across the lifespan. I support clients navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, abuse, addiction, behavioral concerns, and relational challenges, and I genuinely enjoy working with people from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. My goal is to create a therapeutic space rooted in empathy, understanding, and zero judgment, where healing feels possible and supported.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a concentration in Christian Counseling and a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. I am also a Certified Mental Health Life Coach through the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC) and a Professional Certified Life Coach through the International Coaching Federation (ICF). My work is guided by a somatic, holistic, and systemic perspective, grounded in the belief that healing occurs when the whole person—mind, body, spirit, and relationships—is honored. This philosophy is deeply aligned with 1 Corinthians 12:26, which reminds us that when one part of the body suffers, all are affected—and when healing occurs, the entire system can rejoice.

I practice from an integrative therapy approach, incorporating Solution-Focused Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Collaborative Family Therapy. My primary focus is helping clients bring light into places that have felt heavy or hidden—such as fear, anger, low self-esteem, insecurity, self-harm, and broken or strained relationships. I am continually inspired by how light fosters hope, emotional healing, peace of mind, a healthy self-image, personal meaning, and stronger connections. I am honored to walk alongside clients on their healing journey and also offer Christian-integrated therapy for individuals, couples, and families who desire faith-based support.

I work with clients across Georgia, including those seeking therapy for relationship issues, trauma recovery, addiction support, life transitions, and emotional wellness. Outside the therapy room, I am deeply family-oriented and passionate about relationships and community. I spend my Sundays teaching, counseling, and building character with youth and young adults, as I strongly believe in investing in the next generation. A fun fact about me—I genuinely enjoy mowing lawns (mine and my neighbors’); I find it surprisingly therapeutic.

Food for thought: ICNU LIGHT 💡—and nothing can dim it.

Now, let’s talk about you. I would love the opportunity to connect, learn more about your story, and support you in reaching your goals. If you are looking for a Marriage and Family Therapist in Georgia who offers integrative and faith-informed care, I invite you to request a session or schedule a free consultation. I look forward to meeting you.

Cetara Davis, LPC

Hello!

My name is Cetara, and I am deeply passionate about working with women who have experienced trauma and are ready to reclaim joy, confidence, and a sense of wholeness in their lives. It takes courage to slow down and examine the experiences that have shaped you. Often, unresolved trauma weaves itself into our present lives—impacting how we react, our ability to be vulnerable, how we communicate, our expectations, physical health, and, most importantly, how we see ourselves.

I have a strong interest in intergenerational and generational trauma—patterns of pain that are passed down within families. My path into counseling began when I recognized the impact of trauma in my own family and felt called to help others break these cycles. I believe that when one individual heals, it can open the door to freedom and healing for an entire family system.

Counseling is a deeply personal process, and I strive to create a space where you feel empowered, supported, and respected in your choices. I approach therapy as a collaborative partnership—we are a team. Together, we will work to reduce symptoms, strengthen coping skills, and help you move toward your personal goals. I utilize an integrative, trauma-informed approach, tailoring therapy to each client’s needs. Modalities may include Client-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Interpersonal Therapy, Insight-Oriented Therapy, Trauma-Focused Therapy, and Narrative Therapy, among others.

I bring a strong background in community mental health, with experience supporting individuals living with severe and persistent mental illness, including Bipolar Disorder and Schizophrenia. I have also worked extensively with survivors of sexual abuse, intimate partner violence, gun violence, and individuals navigating grief and loss. In addition, I support clients experiencing co-occurring disorders, chronic pain, physical health challenges, depression, anxiety, low self-worth, relationship difficulties, and a wide range of women’s issues.

If you are ready to do the work, I am ready to walk alongside you in healing. I look forward to meeting you and being part of your journey toward growth and restoration.

A little more about me—I earned my Master of Science in Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling from Mercer University. In my free time, I enjoy cooking, painting, writing, listening to audiobooks, spending time with loved ones, finding good deals at Ross, and laughing at my own jokes.

"You are braver than you think, and more resilient than you know!" ~ Unknown

Hello and Welcome,

My name is Sharon, and I am a Marriage and Family Therapist in Georgia who enjoys working with adults, children, and families to identify and change patterns of negative interaction rooted in generational influences, life experiences, and relational stress. I provide individual therapy, family counseling, child and adolescent support, and substance abuse counseling, including support for drug and alcohol concerns. My work is grounded in a systemic therapy perspective, with a primary focus on Solution-Focused Therapy to help clients move toward practical, meaningful change.

Although I knew as a teenager that I wanted to become a therapist, it took nearly 30 years to fully arrive at this calling. I hold an undergraduate degree in Political Science, a path that may seem unexpected but deeply informs my work today. My personal journey allows me to understand what it feels like to hesitate in showing up fully for your life, to feel disconnected from your true desires, or to experience moments when life feels derailing. Through experience and growth, I have learned that intentional self-work can lead to emotional stability, healthier relationships, and increased resilience.

I work with clients across Georgia who are navigating life transitions, family conflict, relationship challenges, emotional distress, substance use concerns, and periods of crisis or uncertainty. While no one seeks out difficult interactions or crisis, these moments are often unavoidable in a world shaped by relationships and constant change. I welcome these moments in therapy, as they frequently reveal inner strengths and create opportunities for self-awareness, self-compassion, and personal transformation.

To support this process, I provide an accepting, safe, and non-judgmental therapeutic environment where clients feel comfortable sharing their experiences openly. My approach is goal-oriented and collaborative, helping clients focus on progress, personal accountability, and practical solutions that address present-day concerns while honoring the broader systems that shape their lives.

If you are looking for a Marriage and Family Therapist in Georgia and feel ready to take the next step toward change, I invite you to reach out. I would be honored to work alongside you as you move toward greater clarity, growth, and emotional well-being.

“It always seems impossible until it's done.” ~  Nelson Mandela

 Hello and Welcome,

My name is Alexis Thomas, and I am a Marriage and Family Therapist in Georgia dedicated to helping individuals, couples, and families find relief from emotional, relational, and mental health stressors. I provide therapy services to clients across Georgia, offering a safe, supportive, and unbiased space where you can openly explore the challenges affecting your daily life. My goal is to help you build emotional resilience, strengthen relationships, and move toward a more balanced and fulfilling life.

From an early age, I naturally held space for others. Friends, family members, and peers often felt comfortable confiding in me, and I found purpose in helping them feel heard and understood. My interest in therapy began when I took my first psychology class in high school—a space that unexpectedly became a place for reflection, emotional processing, and connection. These early experiences shaped my belief in the power of therapy as a space for growth, healing, and meaningful change.

I work with clients throughout Georgia who feel overwhelmed, emotionally stuck, or unsure how to move forward. Many seek therapy for concerns such as anxiety, depression, anger, stress, low self-esteem, grief, and life transitions, as well as challenges related to childhood trauma, relationship difficulties, and communication issues. While it can feel easier to avoid uncomfortable emotions, lasting healing often begins when we gently explore what has been weighing on you.

Reaching out for therapy can feel intimidating, and taking the first step requires courage. If you are here, you have already begun prioritizing your emotional well-being. I would be honored to walk alongside you on your journey toward healing, self-discovery, emotional growth, and healthier relationships. Together, we will work at a pace that feels supportive, intentional, and aligned with your goals.

If you are looking for a Marriage and Family Therapist in Georgia and feel ready to take the next step toward change, I am here to support you.

Hello and Welcome,

My name is Ileana, and I am a Marriage and Family Therapy Intern in Georgia who works with individuals, couples, and families from diverse cultural backgrounds. As a first-generation American, I grew up navigating the intersection of my family’s cultural traditions and the expectations of American society. From a young age, I often held a supportive role within my family system, learning to navigate complex emotional dynamics and intergenerational patterns that continue to shape my understanding of relationships, identity, and belonging.

These early experiences sparked my passion for working with clients who feel they are living between worlds—whether between cultures, identities, family expectations, or stages of personal growth. My own ongoing journey with trauma and healing deeply informs how I show up in the therapy space: grounded, compassionate, and attuned to the stories clients carry and the meaning they make of their experiences.

I have professional experience working with individuals and families impacted by addiction, supporting clients as they rebuild trust, establish healthy boundaries, and strengthen relational connection in recovery. Through this work, I witnessed how substance use and addiction affect the entire family system, not just the individual. This understanding led me to pursue Marriage and Family Therapy, where healing is approached through both the self and relationships. This foundation continues to guide my trauma-informed, family-systems approach to therapy.

I work with clients across Georgia who are navigating trauma recovery, bicultural and multicultural identity concerns, acculturation stress, and relationship challenges. I also support interracial and multiethnic couples as they explore cultural differences, communication patterns, and shared identity within their relationships. A central part of my work involves exploring family-of-origin and intergenerational influences to better understand how past experiences shape present relationships, emotional responses, and self-understanding.

My therapeutic style is collaborative and strengths-based, incorporating solution-focused strategies to highlight resilience, increase insight, and support meaningful, lasting change. I strive to create a safe, respectful, and culturally responsive space where clients feel seen, heard, and supported as they move toward healing and growth.

If you are seeking a Marriage and Family Therapy Intern in Georgia who values cultural awareness, relational healing, and trauma-informed care, I would be honored to work with you.

Sharmaine Horton, MFTI

Hello and Welcome,

My name is Sharmaine Horton, and I am a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern in Georgia. I believe healing is possible for anyone willing to take that first step. No matter where you are in your journey, you deserve a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, understood, and valued. My passion for therapy is rooted in deep compassion and purpose, shaped both by my natural ability to listen and by life experiences that revealed the transformative power of emotional healing.

My journey into the mental health field began through profound personal loss. I experienced the loss of my best friend in a tragic car accident and later the loss of my sister. During these seasons of grief, therapy and faith became lifelines that supported my healing and growth. Through my own process, I learned that true growth does not come from avoiding pain, but from facing it with courage, compassion, and openness to transformation. These experiences shaped my calling to support individuals, couples, and families as they seek clarity, strength, and hope during life’s most difficult moments.

In my work with clients across Georgia, I integrate Solution-Focused Therapy and Narrative Therapy to help individuals explore new possibilities, reclaim their voice, and rewrite stories that no longer serve them. I take a collaborative, strengths-based approach, working alongside clients to build on resilience, increase self-awareness, and support meaningful, lasting change. I value authenticity, emotional safety, and partnership in the therapy space.

Guided by my education at Capella University and informed by lived experience, I honor each client’s unique story with empathy, respect, and genuine care. I support clients navigating grief and loss, anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, life transitions, and self-discovery, creating a space where healing can unfold at a pace that feels supportive and empowering.

If you are seeking a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern in Georgia who believes in hope, resilience, and the power of connection, you do not have to walk this path alone. Your story matters here, and healing is possible.

Healing begins with one brave step—let us take that step together.

Greetings!

My name is Shana Trimble, a licensed marriage and family therapist, an AAMFT Approved Supervisor, and the owner of N'Perfect Balance. I currently provide services that assist individuals 13years+, couples, families, and groups suffering from an array of mental and emotional concerns. I also provide supervision to pre-licensed and licensed clinicians in need of AAMFT supervision services. I have my master's in marriage and family therapy/counseling and am a certified life coach with experience working with a very diverse population. I work from a holistic systemic view, we impact life as life impacts us, integrative approach that is inclusive of Solution-Focused Therapy, Emotional Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Collaborative Family Therapy. I am also big on Psychoeducation. My main focus is on relationships, as I love helping people better their relationships with themselves, others, and things that can sometimes present some difficult challenges. And for this reason, I love being a therapist.

Actually for as long as I can remember I wanted to help others. If superpowers were a thing, I would love to make the issues people suffer with disappear. But since this is not an option, being a therapist for me is the next best thing. It gives me the ability to help others along their journey. And seeing others thrive is one of my happy places.

I have other happy places as well. I am married to a wonderful man, 30+years, a mother of  three adult daughters and an adorable grandson. I love music from most genres, dancing, swimming, and being creative. I also crave information, change, and growth.

I share all of this to say, I am a therapist, yes and I love what I do, but I am also human. And I use being human to connect with my clients. My priority is to create a genuine, honest connection with my clients with no judgments, as I understand that it takes a lot of courage to ask for help. So with me, you will find that I am rooting for every one of my clients as well as others who are working hard to become the best version of themselves, simply because, I want everyone to win.

As a Supervisor, I love helping others in the profession who are just as passionate about helping others. I decided to become an AAMFT Supervisor after establishing my practice because I vividly recall how difficult my experience was during my internship, residency, and after graduation. Because of this experience, I strive to make this experience for someone else a little easier.

To achieve this goal, I will collaborate with you to ensure that you receive all that you need from the clinical as well as from the clinician's perspective. I take pride in understanding that behind the therapist title, you are a human first, and it is this human that will connect with your clients, providing them with the support they need. Therefore, I assure you, you will not be left out as we dive into the practice of the profession.
